Verona
Verona is a beautiful city, only 1 hour and a half drive from Lake Caldonazzo, visited every year by millions of tourists attracted by its historical and cultural treasures. In fact the city is known for its Arena and for the tragedy of "Romeo and Juliet" here set by the great poet, Shakespeare. Although today there are very few traces of the existence of a Capuleti family in Verona, the building known as the "house of Juliet" attracts many couples who enjoy playing the famous balcony scene every year.
The Verona Arena, of which only one façade stands, is the third Roman amphitheatre in the world and is home to the famous Arenian opera festival. The charming medieval alleyways are now filled with elegant shops and cafés, coming to life at night with a sparkling nightlife.
