Muse: Trento's science museum

MUSE is the science museum of Trento.  It was inaugurated on 27 July 2013 and has replaced the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences, continuing its activities.

The museum, which is only 20 minutes away from Lake Caldonazzo, holds temporary interactive exhibitions during the year, involving all visitors. In addition to the temporary exhibitions there are a few permanent ones:

  • biodiversity room: where you can admire skulls, skeletons, colourful and curious beaks, huge and tiny eggs, shells, seeds and bizarre fruits, fossils, corals and colourful butterflies, birds and large mammals.
  • eology room: where geological, palaeontological, mineralogical and morphological peculiarities of the region are illustrated and the phenomena that, over time, led to the formation of the present Alpine landscape.
  • prehistory room: The relics are fundamental elements for reading the landscape and prehistoric cultures and provide, through their cultural, chronological and environmental value, information and stimuli for going back to the past.
  • "small animals to discover" room: A colourful area dedicated to living animals and mostly aimed at children.
